Breaking Ground — Literally
We’ve got a long way to go and a lot to learn, but the journey has officially begun.
This past week, we spent several days on the property clearing brush, hauling logs, pulling stumps — and wiping plenty of sweat from our brows. And you know what? It was actually fun. There’s something deeply satisfying about working hard for something you truly care about. When you're doing it out of love — not obligation — it doesn’t really feel like work.
Sure, we were exhausted by the end of each day. But we also felt incredibly accomplished. Every evening, as we packed up and headed home, we could look back and see the progress.
One night, I turned to JT and joked, “I’ve never seen a fat farmer!” And now, I totally get why.
